Our Story Starts With You.

At ETT Fine Woods we are focused on adding value to your business to help improve your bottom line.

Focused on Superior Quality Since 1843.

Both companies were started by enterprising men seeking the very best lumber they could find. East Teak Fine Hardwoods was started with the purchase of a single container of teak lumber for the local boat building community and a vision of changing how the marine industry ordered wood for their boats. Thompson Mahogany was started with the importation of Mahogany logs to supply the burgeoning furniture making business of the 1840’s.

Throughout the years both companies changed their business strategy to endure wars, depression, foreign policy changes, and environmental changes.

This business strategy continues to change as we look toward the future. First, by combining the organizational structure of two companies into one unified company to better serve our customers with the same enterprising spirit of our founders.

ETT Fine Woods will continue to commit to the highest quality products and best service, while ensuring legally-sourced products.

Environmental Statement

ETT Fine Woods is committed to supporting responsible forest stewardship. To help ensure that, we follow standard operating procedures that track lumber origin, legal harvesting, and shipment of lumber products.

By promoting sustainable forestry and sourcing only legally harvested lumber, we encourage communities to conserve forested areas for the future.

At ETT our objective is to use wood resources carefully, balancing sustainable use of wood today while supporting conservation of resources for future generations. This conscious balance helps us to contribute to the improving of long-term socio-economic benefits for the people and communities where we do business.
